Andrea

Andrea began a personal yoga journey 3 years ago after on going health issues influenced her to take a more holistic life style approach. Since then yoga has been an anchor for her life, and her practice provides the stability and balance for the fast-paced environment off the mat. Her drive for well-being led her to switch careers and awaken to her inner truth as she now embraces her soul’s purpose and service through yoga. As an instructor Andrea hopes to encourage students to develop a passion for understanding who and what we are through a diligent commitment to yoga. She holds a Master of Arts in Education, and taught as an elementary classroom teacher for 13 years in Wisconsin, Florida, and Texas. Outside of the studio, she enjoys practicing a mindful and meaningful lifestyle; going on daily adventures with her son Everett, playing outside with Mother Earth, and reading. Andrea is a 200-HR RYT with Yoga Alliance, trained in the style of Vinyasa Flow through Yoga on the Lake in Kohler, Wisconsin.



Andrea instructs the following:
  • Vinyasa Flow
  • This class will strengthen, detoxify, and invigorate the mind and body. This class will offer sun salutations, mindful alignment principles, and breath work associated with each posture. Some yoga experience is recommended, though modifications will be offered from instructor.

  • Intro to Yoga (Sign up Under Workshops to get series discount)
  • Everyone has the ability to start and flourish in yoga, regardless of age, level of flexibility and physical condition. This 4 week absolute beginner yoga series is recommended for anyone beginning yoga and wishes to establish a solid foundation in the practice.

    Take this opportunity to learn why millions of North Americans have taken up yoga and found it so easy to stick with it. Join other absolute beginners and explore:

    the foundations of yoga, including standing and sitting postures
    breathing techniques
    meditation

    Each week we will explore a new dimension of the practice including:

    synchronizing breath to movement
    alignment details
    muscles used in specific poses
    physical benefits of poses

    During the process you can expect to improve your overall fitness level by gaining strength, increasing your flexibility and balance capability and improve your
    cardiovascular fitness.
