Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energywork using spiritually guided life force energy.
Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others. It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this is true a person’s body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness. Many people use Reiki for in their own wellness practices. Reiki is not a cure for a disease or illness, but it may assist the body in creating an environment to facilitate healing. Reiki is a great tool to use as a complement to traditional medicine and is practiced in many hospitals and medical care settings.
Many times a client, after experiencing Reiki treatments, will wish to learn Reiki to work with this energy themselves by taking a Reiki I course. This can be beneficial as they may then use this stress reduction and relaxation tool anytime.
Please Note: Reiki is meant to be used as a complement to traditional care or as a personal relaxation or stress reducing tool. It is not a substitute for qualified medical or traditional care.

The Usui system of Reiki is one of the easiest natural healing systems known today. It is also the most effective way to transfer Universal Life Energy. This class teaches basic aspects of Reiki in order to perform hands-on healing with the Reiki Ray. The history, principles and ethics of Reiki are discussed and the chakra system is also examined. Students are attuned to Reiki I in a four step process. Students will complete a self-healing session, give a full session and receive a full session. Join us for this introductory exploration of this powerful energy.
Prerequisite: None. There is no background nor skills required to take this course.
If you have been attuned and certified in Usui Reiki Level I, you are invited to continue the journey onto Level II. The Usui system of Reiki is one of the easiest natural healing systems known today. It is also the most effective way to transfer Universal Life Energy. Having been "attuned" to Reiki (in level I), this course is for those ready to deepen their healing abilities -- for the self and others.
In this course, you will receive three healing symbols that will help you take your Reiki practice to a higher level. These symbols will (respectively): strengthen the effects of Reiki for you and bring protection to others; bring mental and emotional healing to a deeper level; allow Reiki to travel over time and space so you can send Reiki to people, places and situations from a distance.
The power and effectiveness of the Reiki symbols comes from the Level II attunement, which activates the symbols in your mind and hands.
Classes are usually limited to 10 new students. Included in the $175 tuition are the class session, manuals and other materials.
Deepen your Reiki practice with the Master Symbols. This attunement heightens your vibration level and allows you to share the gift of Reiki attunements with others. This is a one year committment to develop your skills with hands on practice.
Reiki is a sacred practice that requires reverence and our greatest respect if we are to experience its most wonderful value. The benefits of Reiki can be all encompassing, not only giving us the ability to heal ourselves and others, which by itself is deeply meaningful, but also bringing guidance for our lives. Its unlimited nature can create opportunities for continual growth, unfoldment and the awakening of our own boundless potential. The ever increasing joy, peace and abundance that await those who sincerely pursue the path of Reiki are not only a blessing to be enjoyed, but also contain the healing that the planet so dearly needs. Those who have been initiated into Reiki often feel this greater potential and aspire to continue on to the Advanced and Master levels.
The desire to grow is inherent in simply being alive. As we look around ourselves and observe living things, we can clearly see that the one activity that all living things share is growth.
Everything that is alive grows. Because this is what living things do, one could even say that the purpose of life is to grow. Therefore, the desire to grow in ones Reiki potential is a natural expression of ones core essence and of life itself. If you feel this desire in your heart, honor and respect it. Doing so, will fulfill an innate need.
The joys of becoming a Reiki Master are many and you don't necessarily have to teach in order for the Master training to be useful. The additional healing energy, symbols, techniques and knowledge will add value to your healing abilities. Treating yourself, giving yourself and others healing attunements and treating others in person and at a distance will all be noticeably improved. The fact that you can pass Reiki on to friends and family is also a definite plus. Many take the Master training with just this in mind. However, if you ever decide to formally teach, you will be able to do so. As each person takes the Reiki Master training, and increases their personal vibration, this adds to the vibration of the whole planet! (by William Lee Rand)
